Tuono Charlie Extends Streak to 15 Wins
Starstayer Tuono Charlie continued his dominance in the Irish Cambridgeshire semi-finals, delivering yet another commanding performance.
With a winning time of 40.79 seconds, he narrowly missed breaking the track record he set in the heats just a week earlier. His raw power and front-running style left his competitors trailing by a staggering 10 lengths, once again proving too strong for the field.
Kinturk Road, who had come closest to Tuono Charlie in the McP Group 750 final at Tralee last month, secured victory in the other semi-final with a time of 41.37 seconds. He is expected to be the top contender chasing Ireland’s leading stayer in next Saturday’s final.
Meanwhile, the night also saw a new 575-yard track record set by That’s It Jack. The September '22 son of Malachi shaved 16 spots off the previous record, having now won all three of his starts at the track.
