Thrilling Victory in National Sprint
In a dramatic finish, Niosfearrnabolt clinched a sensational victory in the Arena Racing Company National Sprint Final at Nottingham on Monday. This triumph marked a dream start for Newcastle’s Chloe Hardy, who recently stepped into her training career after taking over the licence from her father, Steve Anderson.
Hardy’s milestone win comes just weeks after she inherited the reins following Bramble Linton's success in the Premier Greyhound Racing Classic at Sunderland. The £7,500 Category Two prize now belongs to the son of Ballymac Kingdom, cementing Niosfearrnabolt’s place as a standout competitor.
The race unfolded with Stonepark Hoffa, trained by Savva Roberts, taking an early lead on the outside. However, Alien Bolt, under Richie Taberner's guidance, surged on the inside as they neared the bend, taking control heading into the home straight. With Alien Bolt seemingly set for victory, Niosfearrnabolt unleashed an electrifying late burst to edge ahead by a short head, completing the 305m sprint in a swift 18.20 seconds.
Close behind, Aero Pattika, a stablemate of the runner-up, finished strong, while 5-4 favourite Rioja Oisin (trained by Kevin Hutton) was just off the pace. The field was tightly contested, with less than two lengths separating the top five runners.
