Sunderland Stadium Continues National Greyhound Week

Sunderland Stadium’s celebration of National Greyhound Week is set to continue with more exciting events planned for Today’s evening and Sunday. The festivities, which began with a successful family fun day on bank holiday Monday, will feature a marquee fixture on Friday where racegoers who book in advance can enjoy free admission.

Joanne Wilson, General Manager at Sunderland Stadium, shared her optimism about breaking the year’s attendance record on Friday, noting that hundreds have already taken advantage of the free admission offer. She expects even more bookings as the event draws closer.

In addition to Today's fixture, a special event for greyhound owners will take place on Sunday. All races on that day will offer increased prize money, and winners will be awarded commemorative rosettes.

Joanne pointed out that greyhound racing provides an entertaining, family-friendly, and cost-effective night out for people of all ages. She extended an invitation to those who have yet to experience the excitement of live racing to join in the celebrations during National Greyhound Week.
