Rinsed The Lot's Unstoppable Victory

When Rinsed The Lot surged ahead at the first turn and secured the Group 1 Vic Peters (520m) title at Wentworth Park on Saturday night, trainer Michelle Sultana's confidence was validated.

She described him as a champion, noting his unbeaten streak in six starts with a remarkable 29.44 finish. The dog, owned by a syndicate including Brad Canty and Brenton Avdulla, held off Flash Boom Bang to win by a length, with Ferness trailing.

Michelle highlighted his youth and limited racing experience, emphasising the significant early pace in the final. Despite being underprepared for the heat, his special qualities shone through.

Comparing Rinsed The Lot to Mackenna, who recently won the G1 Golden Easter Egg, Michelle refrained from direct comparisons but acknowledged Rinsed The Lot as the kennel's best. She expressed excitement about discovering his full potential in the coming months.

Avdulla, a key owner in the kennel, congratulated the team from Hong Kong, expressing his excitement to see Rinsed The Lot in person during his upcoming break.

In another achievement, Barry Gibbons and his son Barry Jr. celebrated a unique double when Tulsi Banner dominated the G1 Peter Mosman Opal, winning by five and a quarter lengths. Tulsi Banner, following her mother Lilly Banner's footsteps, secured her ninth victory in 14 starts. Barry Jr. expressed his joy over their breeding plan's success, while Barry Sr. recalled the criticism he faced for pairing Lilly Banner with Blue Moon Rising. The litter also produced Boston Banner, who finished fourth to Rinsed The Lot in the Vic Peters.

Barry Jr. noted their strategy to ensure Tulsi Banner's strong start, following their usual procedure of giving her a jump-out onto a squeaker the day before the race.
