Paul Young Celebrates 500 Wins with Time For Baileys
On Monday, Romford trainer Paul Young achieved a remarkable milestone with Time For Baileys, securing his 500th graded winner for 2024.
The July 2020 offspring of Laughil Blake claimed victory in the fourth race of the morning card, an A6 event, leading the charge to the finish line. This triumph marked her 16th career win for the Baileys Girls syndicate.
This achievement was part of a memorable day for Young, with Time For Baileys being one of four winners. Joves Molly secured the 499th graded win with a time of 35.94 seconds, followed by Droopys Fiadh at 24.33 seconds, and Jeopardy Blaze at 24.59 seconds.
Young expressed pride in his team's accomplishments, noting that their kennel is known for its high activity, but this year had been particularly exceptional. He praised the dogs' performance and his staff's dedication, attributing their success to the support of Romford's bustling schedule.
He acknowledged the vital role of the owners, especially Steve Fluin and The Champagne Club, alongside various syndicates and individual owners, which foster a positive atmosphere during social gatherings at the kennels.
Young emphasised the importance of balancing the demands of the racing schedule with the welfare of the greyhounds, ensuring their well-being remains the top priority. He appreciated the enjoyment and camaraderie the sport brings to everyone involved, both on and off the track.
