Mini Eva Shines in Dominant Ladbrokes Guys & Dolls Final Win

Local trainer Dave Lee celebrated a stunning victory on Sunday as Mini Eva delivered a flawless performance to secure the title in the Ladbrokes Guys & Dolls final at Crayford. 

In the £5,000-to-the-winner Category Two event, Mini Eva, the youngest contender in the final, showcased her signature early burst of speed, taking the lead at the first bend and never looking back. She crossed the finish line in 23.06 seconds, leaving Dan Brabon’s Dower Pat in second place, while another of Lee’s trainees, All Along, claimed third. This win marked a significant achievement for the April 2022-born daughter of Ballymac Bolger, who has steadily risen through the ranks since her winning debut in A6 back in February. The triumph was a proud moment for her owners, Brian Caulfield, Graham Cowley, and Behcet Efdal.

Adding to the excitement of the day, Tom Heilbron's Madabout Peck set a new track record in a supporting race, blazing through the 380m course in 22.77 seconds. This impressive feat shaved eight-hundredths of a second off the previous record set by Brinkleys Poet in 2018, establishing Madabout Peck as a force to be reckoned with on the track.
