Greyhound Tips – February 14

Love is in the air on Valentine's Day when Dani Jackson shoots three heartfelt selections from Cupid's Arrow at Yarmouth and Romford.

It's the "Day Of Love" and I've tried to find a couple of runners who will give us a good run for our money and keep in with the Valentine's theme!

Affectionatly (1) competes in an A3 at Yarmouth in their second race on the card at 18.14. She racked up a hat-trick recently through the grades from A6 to A4, but was thwarted in her four-timer mission when hassled all the way to the first bend.

She wouldn't be the quickest into stride, but she has got a great pitch on the inside, and the Cross runner could muscle through on the rail to win her first A3.

Vince The Prince (6) could be the fly in the ointment after recording a good second at a decent price last time and should be quick out the boxes. He has won plenty at the track, including a couple in the higher grade, and could make all here if keeping himself safe.

Blooming Wild (3) in the 20.44 at Romford has won four of her last five starts - an A6, an IT, and two A5's. She gets a penalty into A4 today and she's in such a good vein of form that I couldn't oppose her.

Blooming Wild wouldn't be the quickest into stride, but she will hold a handy pitch into the first corner, and from there, she'll be powering down the back and hopefully into the winner's circle.

The danger could be Vancouver Kian (5) who won a race over in Ireland and has since won at Oxford in an A2. He has been tried in a couple of minor Opens but hasn't performed as well as connections would have hoped. The trial times have been decent at Romford and he could give the selection a little to think about.

The final selection on Valentine's is Give Me Sausage (6) at Yarmouth in the 19.09. She's the sole wide seed and should be able to hold a good pitch on the outside. She bounced back into form last time when only denied a length in second in the grade.

Give Me Sausage has a good record when donning the stripes - two from six. She generally breaks well and should easily clear Charlies Girl (5) into the opening bend.

Farneys Zena is the danger to the selection as she is always quick off the mark and has the fastest time of the field. She's not easy to win with, though, having recorded only one win here at Yarmouth from fifteen starts.

Good luck whoever you side with!

Dani Jackson's Best Bets:

18.14 Yarmouth - Affectionatly (Trap 1)

19.09 Yarmouth - Give Me Sausage (Trap 6)

20.44 Romford - Blooming Wild (Trap 3)
