Graham Banks Set to Rejoin Crayford

Graham Banks is preparing for a return to Crayford later this week, where he will take up the role of deputy racing manager once again.

Currently serving as the racing manager at Doncaster, Banks is set to oversee his final meeting at the South Yorkshire track on Tuesday. Reflecting on his tenure there, Banks expressed his satisfaction with the experience.

He mentioned that his time at Doncaster had been thoroughly enjoyable, highlighting the track’s exceptional running surface, which he considered among the best in the country. After spending over two decades grading at tighter tracks like Catford and Crayford, Banks appreciated the opportunity to work with the larger venue.

Banks also found it rewarding to interact with a new group of trainers, both local and those regularly participating in the open races held at Doncaster.

Although deciding to return to Crayford wasn't easy for Banks and his partner Vanessa, as they both enjoyed living in the area, the couple ultimately chose to move back south after being offered roles that suited them both.
