Fairy Footsteps Withdrawn from Irish Greyhound Derby Due to Injury
Fairy Footsteps has been pulled from the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby’s third round following a minor injury sustained during her impressive second-round win. Her co-owner, Willie Rigney, shared that the skilled daughter of Droopys Sydney had suffered a split web.
This injury, a recurring issue for the Pat Guilfoyle-trained greyhound, requires some rest for recovery. The team hopes a few weeks off will have her ready to compete in the Winter Racing Festival. With her withdrawal, trap three in Saturday night’s Heat 3 will remain empty.
