Exciting Heats Kick Off Premier Greyhound Racing Regency at Hove
The £20,000 Premier Greyhound Racing Regency kicked off at Hove with six thrilling heats over 695m. Littermates Haka Carlo and Ballymac Taylor, along with the fastest heat winner Cooladerry Dust, were the stars of the night. The excitement continues this weekend with three semi-finals and the Coral Sussex Cup qualifier.
Haka Carlo won heat one, finishing three and a half lengths ahead in 41.84 seconds. Ballymac Taylor triumphed in heat two, winning by two and a quarter lengths in 41.82 seconds. Cooladerry Dust, trained by Nathan Hunt, posted the fastest time of the night, winning heat three in 41.72 seconds.
Hunt also secured a win with Riverside Shari in heat six. Local trainers Belinda Green and Seamus Cahill saw victories with Baywatch Bullet in heat four and Lightfoot Falcon in heat five, respectively.
Hove racing manager Rob Abrey praised the quality of the semi-finals, predicting fierce competition for spots in the £20,000 final.
