Dave Lee Dominates at Crayford

It was an exceptional evening for Dave Lee, the Epping-based trainer, as he secured four victories at Crayford. Among the most celebrated moments was Laughil Jess’s triumph. Her rapid start in the 540m final kept her clear of trouble, and after some jostling behind her, she cruised to a comfortable victory, finishing 10 and a half lengths ahead.

Lee also clinched victory in the other £750 final with Jacktavern Alan. His 3.42 sectional made him tough to catch, and he ultimately recorded the fastest 380m time of the night with a 23.04. Lee’s other winners included Integral, who clocked 23.30, and All Along, finishing in 23.09.

Robert Short made his journey worthwhile, securing the first two wins of the night with Necessary Evil and Castell Judge. Julie Luckhurst and Ricky Holloway also had a successful evening, each claiming two wins. Luckhurst’s victories came with Epic Princess and Kanturk Mills, the latter posting the fastest 540m time of the night at 33.48. Holloway’s wins were thanks to Razldazl Amanda and Four From Two.

In an unexpected twist, Glengar Scholar upset Holloway’s 1/5 favourite Razldazl Barkley, giving Alison Kelly-Pilgrim a memorable victory. Robert Emery also found success, with Liz On Faya emerging as the faster of the two 714m winners.
