11:01 HOVE: ANNIES LUCY (Trap 3) 

Friday morning will demand an early start, with my first pick in the opening A10 race at Hove (11:01). Trainer Seamus Cahill’s ANNIES LUCY (Trap 3) stands out from the white jacket. After struggling in A9 last Friday, she's been downgraded, having already shown promising early speed and resilience to secure a win at this level two weeks ago. Although this A10 looks highly competitive, Lucy will need to get off to a strong start to seize the lead early. Luckily, she benefits from the presence of slow starter Lunas Fat Boy (Trap 2) on her inside, which could work in her favour.

20:19 ROMFORD: SWIFT UNDERWATER (Trap 3)

Shifting focus from my Coral Romford Puppy Cup selections, SWIFT UNDERWATER (Trap 3) caught my attention during the first-round heat, making him a solid pick for the second semi-final at Romford (20:19). Jimmy Lambe’s youngster exhibited impressive early pace, gaining the lead at the first bend last week. He’s likely to outpace the inside duo at the corner, and if he leads by the second bend, the race should be his to lose.

20:36 ROMFORD  ON THE BANKS (Trap 2)

Lastly, I’m sticking with ON THE BANKS (Trap 2), who rewarded us well in the first round last Friday. Nathan Hunt’s puppy returns to Trap 2 for the third semi-final (20:36) and is poised to deliver another strong performance. Despite Roanna Mamba (Trap 5) clocking a faster time last week, the tricky draw for Mamba suggests ON THE BANKS has a better shot at a clean run to the corner. A sharp break should put him in the lead, leaving traps 1 and 3 behind.
