12:42 MONMORE: SPRINGSIDE LILY (Trap 6)
Springside Lily (6) drops to A7 at Monmore for the 12:42 race, offering a great opportunity for her to shine. Known for her early burst of speed, she should be able to maintain a good position on the outside. After a six-week break, her two recent outings have shown strong starts, but she hasn’t been able to sustain that energy throughout the race like she used to.
Once a winner in A1, Springside Lily was a top-class runner in her prime. Now, A7 may be more suitable for her, and if she gets a good start, she’s got the fastest time of the lot, making a return to winning form very possible.
18:59 PERRY BARR: CHUBBYS WHISPER (Trap 5)
At Perry Barr, the standout pick is Chubbys Whisper (5) in the 18:59 race. While he’s got a decent amount of early pace, what really sets him apart is his consistent times. In six of his last eight races, his times have been impressively close, and he’s bagged three wins in this grade during that stretch.
With a solid strike rate of nearly 25% in A2, Chubbys Whisper is in top form and is my best bet of the day. Although Darley Pope (2) was impressive with his six-length A3 win, A2 has proven more challenging for him. He’s yet to find success in ten A2 starts, and I expect him to fall short again. However, he’s still worth considering for a forecast or tricast spot.
19:27 ROMFORD: WONDERFUL PEARL (Trap 5)
Finally, Wonderful Pearl (5) takes centre stage at Romford in the 19:27 race, looking for her fifth consecutive win. She’s shown incredible form, consistently bolting out of the traps and holding her lead throughout, even after being headed. With just five career runs, she’s quickly risen from A6 to A2, showcasing her potential under trainer Katie O’Flaherty.
