18:31 CENTRAL PARK: EILEEN'S STORY (Trap 6)
Eileen's Story (6) was primed to race at Central Park last week, but after missing that race, Dan Brabon’s runner is now poised to show her potential in A1 competition (18:31). Having recently arrived at Kent, she demonstrated clear improvement from a previous performance, where she lost an edge by running wide. In her latest race, she held a cleaner line, which should serve her well this time around.
The challenge today appears tougher, especially with Franco Jessica (1), who made a strong impression by leading the field in an A1 victory after returning from a long break. However, Jessica's performance faded late, leaving room for both greyhounds to show further improvement.
18:48 CENTRAL PARK: HOLLYOAK OBI (Trap 1)
While sprint races in the lowest grades aren’t typical recommendations here, I'll make an exception for Hollyoak Obi (1) in a D5 race, also at Central Park (18:48). Ray Butler’s young racer grabbed attention in his third career start by surging impressively and narrowly losing by a head at the finish line.
Although changing traps with Stophers Holly (2) may not seem advantageous, Hollyoak Obi holds the upper hand against this competitor. The main threat comes from Hollyoak Dexter (4), who’s returning after a three-month break.
ANTE-POST ARC SCURRY GOLD CUP: RIOJA OISIN (5-1)
For the final tip, look ahead to Saturday’s ARC Scurry Gold Cup semi-finals at Perry Barr, where Rioja Oisin stands out. Kevin Hutton’s contender has caught the eye not only for his potential to improve but also for posting the fastest time in the opening round, despite this being just his fourth career start. Additionally, his favourable draw in the third semi-final gives him an excellent shot at securing a place in the final six, making his current odds unlikely to last.
