WASTEHOUSE KRIS (2) is a promising young pup making strides in the graded ranks at Hove. With three wins from nine starts, she's been in excellent form since returning from her season. Last time out in an A4 race, she led around the home turns but was just caught close to the finish, losing by a length. Her early speed is electric, and she should be leading off the second bend today. Having recorded her quickest times in her last two runs, she’s in prime form.
Watch out for YOUR NOT ON (1) on her inside, who is seeking her fourth consecutive win after successes in A7, A6, and a Stayers’ Open. If she turns handy, her late pace could pose a significant threat.
19:27 Romford - CHELMS GASK (Trap 3)
CHELMS GASK (3) has been in scintillating form at Romford, rocketing out of the boxes to secure three consecutive A1 wins. With ten wins from 21 A1 starts, he boasts a stellar strike rate. Given his current form, he’s hard to oppose. He should outpace his neighbors to the opening bend, and if he breaks well, his recent times suggest none of his rivals will be able to catch him.
ESSEX DIVA (6) has also been in good form, winning three of her last five starts and progressing nicely through the grades. However, her times don’t match up to Chelms Gask's, and she would need him to encounter trouble to have a chance.
21:46 Romford - KATSUMOTO (Trap 1)
KATSUMOTO (1) impressed on his British debut last week, comfortably winning an A4 race after beating English Greyhound Derby semi-finalist Ballymac Slick twice in Ireland. Despite the two-grade penalty, he is expected to win again with natural improvement. With a perfect pitch on the rail and strong early speed, he should lead all the way.
ZOOS ZUMA (6) benefits from a vacant box inside, offering a clear passage. Although he stumbled out of the boxes last time, he has the fastest time in the field when starting well, making him a threat to all.
