Trained locally by Jason Heath, this promising contender is on a rapid ascent, evident from his three wins out of five recent races. Though this race marks a significant step up from A4 class, his Sunday victory and gradual weight gain suggest he’s swiftly improving.
If he can take the lead—especially considering that kennelmate Antigua Luigi (Trap 1) isn't expected to replicate his rare quick start—this young prospect from September might just dash ahead for a comfortable win.
19:22 MONMORE: SCOOBY THE DUKE (Trap 2)
Meanwhile, at Monmore, SCOOBY THE DUKE (Trap 2) faces A1 company for the first time in the 19:22 race. Like Burrows Trigger, he is relatively unexposed but shows clear signs of improvement, making him a worthy gamble. With Coologue Pest (Trap 1) likely to stick to the inside and Aztec Empire (Trap 3) favouring the middle, there should be ample room for Scooby to manoeuvre. However, if there’s any congestion among the inside runners, Cor Blimey (Trap 5), known for his strong finish, could seize the opportunity and should be kept in mind as a backup.
20:13 MONMORE: KILARA HONEY (Trap 2)
Later on the same Monmore card, KILARA HONEY (Trap 2) looks set to dominate the A3 at 20:13. Having surged from A6 to A3 with four consecutive wins earlier this summer, she now benefits from what appears to be a well-deserved downgrade. With a couple of unraced rivals and another competitor returning from a three-month break, none of whom pose a significant early pace threat, Kilara Honey is expected to lead from the start and maintain her advantage to the finish.
