Cooladerry Dust Shines in Premier Greyhound Racing Regency Heats
Cooladerry Dust set the pace as the £20,000 Premier Greyhound Racing Regency kicked off with six heats over 695m at Hove on Saturday. Nathan Hunt’s greyhound reaffirmed the form seen in the recent Coronation Cup at Romford.
Previously, Cooladerry Dust had finished second to New Destiny over 575m. The November 21 son of Good News took the lead off the first bend, ultimately securing a three-length victory over Bubbly Scorcher with a benchmark time of 41.72 seconds. This win marked the first of a Regency heat double for the Cambridgeshire-based trainer, with his Riverside Shari later winning heat six. Riverside Shari, now two-for-two in the UK after transferring from Graham Holland to dual Romford and Monmore handler Hunt, pulled off a surprising yet well-earned 18-1 victory. She quickly positioned herself on the outside, maintaining her lead despite early interference to Queen Georgia, securing a narrow win by a short head in 42.27 seconds.
