Brindle Bully Shines in Coral Silver Standard Final

Brindle Bully capped off an impressive weekend for his litter with a dominant victory in the Coral Silver Standard Final at Romford. The £5,000 prize race served as a key event on the same night as the Premier Greyhound Racing Champion Stakes Final at the London Road track, with standout performances from runners trained by Mark Wallis and Dave Mullins.

Wallis clinched the premier event with New Destiny, one of four winners for the champion trainer that evening. Meanwhile, Mullins, managing his team from Ireland, celebrated a trio of wins, including Brindle Bully’s triumph in the Coral Silver Standard Final, as well as victories by Piemans Angel and Flynns Porter in 400m open races.

Mullins, who was in Co. Tipperary overseeing Brindle Bully’s littermate March On Freddie’s campaign in the BoyleSports Irish Derby, was thrilled with Brindle Bully’s performance. The September 2022 offspring of Dorotas Wildcat and Seaglass Shadow showcased his speed, securing a decisive win in the 400m final. After setting the fastest time in the semi-finals at 23.61 seconds, Brindle Bully surged ahead at the first bend and crossed the finish line in 23.67 seconds, five lengths clear of Droopys Bucko and Avarua Zlatan.

Bred by Rachel Wheeler in Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Brindle Bully’s success kicked off an exciting 48 hours for his litter. March On Freddie and Bockos Diamond both claimed wins in their Irish Derby heats, while Aero Pattika delivered a victory for Richie Taberner at Monmore.

Mullins shared his excitement, saying that Brindle Bully had developed significantly over time and is now hitting his stride. His victory on Friday marked his sixth consecutive win, and Mullins confirmed that Brindle Bully is ready for the Arena Racing Company Classic at Sunderland.

Reflecting on the memorable night at Romford, Mullins expressed his gratitude to his team, who were instrumental in Brindle Bully’s success. He also extended his congratulations to the dog’s owners, who, according to Mullins, had a well-deserved celebration after the win.
