Avongate Venus Shines Ahead of Empress Stakes

Avongate Venus once again stole the show at Towcester on Sunday. Phil Milner’s greyhound, a daughter of Droopys Sydney, finished just nine spots short of Barntick Bear’s recent track record.

Owner Sean O’Connor expressed his excitement, anticipating great performances in the upcoming Empress Stakes and the Oaks. Given her current form, Venus will be tough to beat at Towcester.

Broadway Murty, the Northamptonshire Sprint winner, made a flawless return to racing. After showing promise in recent trials, he won his first race since April 6, clocking in at 15.70 for trainer Sean White.

Laurence Tuffin celebrated an impressive five wins that afternoon. His greyhounds Fabulous Trick and Fabulous Dyna won open races, while Fabulous Lara, Fabulous Salsa, and Alien Shade triumphed in graded contests.
