A New Chapter Begins for the Shelbourne Park Star

Just recently, Grouchos Duke was highlighted as one of the most memorable debutants at Shelbourne Park, and for good reason. His brief but impressive racing career made him a standout, showcasing top-tier talent.

As a greyhound with exceptional breeding, it’s no shock that breeders were quick to turn to this well-bred son of Grangeview Ten and Mystical Luna. His early speed and strong back straight pace set him apart from the rest. Though his racing days were cut short after an injury during the English Derby quarter-finals, his next chapter began swiftly.

John Byrne shared the exciting news that Grouchos Duke became a father for the first time, with a litter of three male and two female pups from the top racer Courty Girl. The pups are reportedly thriving, and this could be the beginning of something special for Grouchos Duke as a sire. We eagerly anticipate seeing his offspring make their own mark on the track in late 2025.
