Tribute to Pat Curtin with a Memorable Racing Event

The Irish greyhound racing community was deeply affected by Pat Curtin's passing last year. Recently, the Pat Curtin Memorial A4/A5 at Mullingar honoured his memory with remarkable races.

Saturday's final showcased Clonfert Annie, a promising young greyhound trained by John Young. Despite a setback in the semi-finals, she entered the final as a 5/4 joint-favourite. As Dapper Ronnie faltered at the start, Bective Ender briefly led, but Clonfert Annie soon took control. She surged ahead decisively, winning by seven lengths in 29.26. Brigadier Jaxx and Kelpie took second and third places, respectively.

Clonfert Annie's potential for higher-level competition is evident, and her dominant performance would surely have pleased Pat Curtin.
