Treble Triumph for Grandfather-Grandson Team at Youghal

The kennels of Andy Lynch, skilfully managed by his grandson Tim Cliffe, had a night to remember at Youghal on Wednesday. The Cappoquin-based operation celebrated a remarkable treble, with all three winners displaying exceptional early speed and securing commanding victories.

Rankin Exile Shines in A3 Rankin Exile was the standout performer of the night, clinching victory in the tenth race, an A3 event. The 2-1 favourite clocked a sizzling time of 29.17, showcasing impressive early sectionals. Despite stiff competition, Rankin Exile managed to hold off Summoned by a length, earning a well-deserved win.

Shes An Exile Dominates A7-A8 In the ninth race, Shes An Exile, known for her quick starts, lived up to expectations in the A7-A8 contest. The November puppy flew clear early and maintained her lead throughout, finishing with a time of 29.43. Her dominant front-running display left the rest of the field trailing behind.

This Exile Secures A7 Victory This Exile, a litter brother to Shes An Exile, showcased his early speed in the third race, an A7 event. The 3-1 contender surged ahead into the third corner and held off a late challenge from Witches Del, crossing the line in 29.74. His strong performance added another win to the successful night for the Lynch-Cliffe team.

Inniskeen Penny’s Impressive Run In the closing race, Inniskeen Penny continued her reign at Youghal. Trained by Jake Faul for Sean Faul, the 4-5 favourite delivered a stellar performance. Flying from the traps, she led from start to finish, clocking a time of 28.98. This victory marks her 16th career win and ninth triumph in her last ten outings at the seaside track, finishing three lengths ahead of Burgess Orlaith.

The evening at Youghal was a testament to the training excellence of Andy Lynch and the adept handling by his grandson, Tim Cliffe. The victories by Rankin Exile, Shes An Exile, and This Exile highlighted the kennel's prowess and early speed.
