Track Record Discrepancies at Tralee Greyhound Stadium Amidst Greyhound Racing Ireland's Oversight

Concerns have been raised over the non-recognition of significant track records at Tralee Greyhound Stadium on the Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) website.

Notably, the performances of Ballinablola Ed (28.03 for 525 yards) and Bobsleigh Dream (30.40 for 570 yards) from March 11, 2022, remain unacknowledged. Similarly, Tullig Raven's record-equalling 525-yard run on July 1, 2022, has also been overlooked. Adding to the controversy, Daleroad Duke's recent record-breaking 27.92 in the Eric Browne Memorial Kingdom Derby has yet to be officially recognised.

In comparison, Curious Boy and Raparee Polly still hold the 525 and 570-yard records, respectively, despite their achievements dating back to 2016 and 2008. This oversight has drawn criticism from the greyhound racing community, demanding greater accuracy and timeliness in record updating.

Additionally, Dublin Coach is offering a bus service from Tralee to the national coursing meeting in Clonmel, with tickets available for booking. In other racing news, Jeremiah Murphy celebrated an astounding win with Russmur Special at Shelbourne Park, and anticipates further success in the upcoming final with Russmur Roddick. Also, Daniel O’Rahilly's Knockeen Dawn is set to compete in the Dublin Cup semi-final, with a substantial prize of €7,500.
