Rambo Leads Pilgrim to Quadruple Victory at Swindon

Steve Pilgrim orchestrated an impressive four wins at Swindon on Monday, elevating his yearly total to 24 victories and boasting an impressive strike rate of 18%.

The day started auspiciously for the Poole-based trainer as Tommy Brock defied the odds at 22-1 to clinch the first race, an A7 over 476m. Pilgrim's recent acquisition demonstrated his potential by securing victory in his first attempt at this grade.

The success continued as Mohican Rambo asserted dominance, leading from the outset to secure a convincing 4-length triumph in the D4 sprint.

Pilgrim was particularly pleased with Rambo's performance, considering the dog's recent struggles with injuries. "He seems to have spent more time on the treatment table than on the track in the last 12 months. So to have run a personal best (since we have had him) was brilliant," remarked Pilgrim.

Co-owner Stefan Wells echoed the sentiment, singling out Rambo for praise. "Has to be Rambo. Patience has been a virtue with him. He is a track favourite," Wells stated appreciatively.

Swift Cockatoo added to Pilgrim's success by securing victory in race 6, marking her 150th start with a triumphant win in the A8 category.

Silver Gun sealed the day with the final victory, marking her debut representing Pilgrim's kennel with an impressive win. Pilgrim expressed delight at Silver Gun's performance, noting her significant improvement since joining his team.

"I'm delighted, not only for myself, but also for my team who support the setup in many different ways," Pilgrim reflected on the day's success. "These days don't happen often. I hope all have enjoyed it."
