Six trainers will face off at Hove for the prestigious title of Premier Greyhound Racing Trainers Judgement Night champion this Saturday. The trap draws for the six contests, which comprise the annual showdown, were conducted at the south coast track on Wednesday.
Mark Wallis, Liz McNair, Kevin Hutton, John Mullins, Richard Rees, and Tom Heilbron will each have a runner in every race, assembling the six leading trainers from the previous year. Newcastle trainer Heilbron steps in for Patrick Janssens, last year’s Trainers Judgement Night winner, who withdrew last month.
The highlight of the evening is the anticipated rematch between Liz McNair’s Coral Brighton Belle champion Queen Joni and Mark Wallis’s Crafty Shivoo, while the English Greyhound Derby favourite, King Memphis, also represents the McNairs in the 515m race.
