Greyhound Tips – February 13, 2024

Coonough Crow was an 11/8 winner for Darrell on Saturday who has a trio of best bets for Tuesday’s Greyhound action between Crayford and Romford.

Sky Sports Racing viewers can enjoy live coverage from Sheffield this morning and Crayford tonight – but whichever tracks you’re interested in it’s all live via greyhounds.attheraces.com or behind the Red Button on the main channel.

I’ll head to Crayford for two of my selections with Unleashthebridge (6) fancied to continue her good run in the opening A1 (17.49).

Tommy Batchelor’s bitch, A2 last spring, has climbed back from A6 to the top grade and is taken to confirm last week’s form with the two dogs on her immediate inside.

Snowdon Rosie (5) turns left at the traps and while the selection will also edge in once clear, her superior pace to the corner coupled with her late pace can make the difference.

Swift Daisy (4) is a potential early pace threat but has been behind the selection in her last two starts.

Hug And Roll (4) is taken to complete his hat-trick with another front-running display in an A6 (18.44) for trainer Alison Kelly-Pilgrim.

A well-bred son of Sizzling Daisy, who has thrown up plenty of useful types, the July puppy should have too much early toe for his rivals and his no-nonsense approach plus a strong edge on the clock can see him dominate from traps rise.

Ex-Romford A1 Beepers Theo (3) ran far better on his second Crayford start last week and is respected given his quick drop down in grade.

Few trainers get more from their youngsters than David Mullins at Romford and I fancy another July puppy Selker Bay Berny (2) to maintain his unbeaten record in an A5 on the afternoon card (15.27).

He has sat handy in both previous starts but with less early pace to contend with – Ballymac Wiseguy (1) is unlikely to prove a hazard in that department – he could even get to the bend in front.

Regardless of how that plays out, it’s his pace into the third bend that has proved the decisive factor thus far, and he is taken to make it the perfect three from three at the London Road circuit.

Best Bets

15.27 Romford Selker Bay Berny (Trap 2)

17.49 Crayford Unleashthebridge (Trap 6)

18.44 Crayford Hug And Roll (Trap 4)
