Georgia States Case in Style to Land Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps Victory

Queen Georgia showcased her dominance with a brilliant all-the-way victory in the Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory Final at Sheffield on Sunday.

Trained by Liz McNair for the KSS Syndicate of Brendan Keogh, Simon Senyk, and Ian Openshaw, the 5-4 favorite took control early in the final of this unique tri-distance event, continuing to impress as she did in the 480m heats and 500m semi-finals.

Racing over 660m for the £10,000 decider, Queen Georgia, a December 2021 daughter of Droopys Sydney and litter sister to multiple Category One winner Queen Joni, displayed a sharp break and early pace to secure the crucial lead in the dash to the bend. From there, she was soon clear of the pack.

Maintaining her gallop all the way to the wire, Queen Georgia managed to fend off a closing challenge from Savana Heross. The Queen Mother Cup champion, trained by Diane Henry, reduced the deficit steadily but never posed a significant threat, finishing four and a quarter lengths behind the winner in 38.88 seconds.

Third place went to Carl Gardiner’s Clairekeith Remy, who matched her performance from last year’s final by finishing in the same position again. The Hove raider finished third behind Distant Emma in the previous year's event and repeated the feat this year.
