Garfiney Blaze Triumphs in Cesarewitch Final, Leading Litter Sister to Victory

Garfiney Blaze won the prestigious 731m Arena Racing Company Cesarewitch Final at Central Park. This commanding victory was a remarkable display of racing prowess. Under Mark Wallis' expert training, Garfiney Blaze, representing the MWD Partnership, achieved a personal triumph. He also led his litter sister, Ballymac Taylor, to a second-place finish. This marked a dual victory for the Liam Dowling-bred litter and Wallis' training.

In the opening moments, he decided on the race. Garfiney Blaze, a former Irish racer undefeated in the UK, swiftly outpaced his competitors. He secured a significant lead by the first bend. This impressive start paved the way for an unchallenged, wire-to-wire win. It culminated in a £12,500 prize for the Category One event.

Garfiney Blaze triumphed in the final. He set a new track record of 44.05 seconds at Central Park, a distance exclusively used for the Arc Cesarewitch. His performance surpassed his previous record times achieved during the heats and semi-finals.

Ballymac Taylor was initially delayed in the race. She then showed remarkable speed to finish second, just behind her brother. Meanwhile, David Lewis's underdog Alright Gordy managed a commendable third-place finish.

With this victory, Garfiney Blaze joins an illustrious list of Cesarewitch champions. Renowned names like Mick the Miller and Scurlogue Champ have also won the race. This is the second time Central Park has hosted this celebrated race.
