Feora Lottie Earns Title of ARC Graded Greyhound of the Year 2023

Feora Lottie, the greyhound trained by Bob Pattinson at Central Park, has been crowned the ARC Graded Greyhound of the Year for the year 2023. Owned by Jon Carter and the late Marilyn Carter, Feora Lottie showcased outstanding performance and consistency throughout the year.

The December 2019-born greyhound, sired by Droopys Sydney and out of Feora Inish, participated in 36 races at Central Park, securing victory in 10 races within the top-grade company. Additionally, she claimed two open race wins at the track. Feora Lottie's remarkable year included a hat-trick in March, which involved triumphs in two open races over 642m, as well as a consecutive A1 double in June.

Feora Lottie's impressive record, with rare finishes outside the frame, earned her the title of ARC Graded Greyhound of the Year. She demonstrated consistency, genuine competitiveness, and a joy to watch, according to Daniel Rankin, Central Park’s Racing Manager.

Starting her career in April 2021, Feora Lottie has accumulated a total of 103 career starts, securing 26 wins and 26 seconds. Her achievements last year, along with her overall career performance, make her a standout greyhound.

Trainer Bob Pattinson expressed the joy of training Feora Lottie, emphasizing her excellence and the fitting tribute her victory serves, especially considering the loss of Jon Carter's wife Marilyn last year.

The judging panel also acknowledged the efforts of the runner-up, Bramble Nickeen, trained by Steve Anderson from Newcastle, who secured 18 wins during the year. Bramble Nickeen, owned by Kennelhand of the Year Chloe Hardy, displayed remarkable consistency at Newcastle.

Feora Lottie's achievement reflects her exemplary record at Central Park, and the judging panel commended the level of nominations and support from racing offices in the Graded Greyhound of the Year Award. Congratulations to Feora Lottie and her connections for this well-deserved recognition!
