One of the jewels in Irish greyhound racing is the Easter Cup, and the 2024 renewal is just around the corner. Sponsored by Bresbet for the third time, this year’s classic is due to commence on St Patrick’s eve, Saturday, March 16th.
Won last year by the brilliant Swords Rex and twelve months earlier by the sensational Susie Sapphire, the roll of honour is littered with the names of some of the greatest greyhounds to ever grace the tracks of Ireland.
Boasting a whopping €25,000 winner’s purse, this year’s event is certain to attract many of Ireland’s finest, ensuring another mouth-watering renewal of the oldest competition on the Irish calendar.
Entries for the classic are invited with the 550yd stake open to 36 greyhounds.
