Daily Greyhound Tips - Thursday 29 February 2024

Darrell has a trio of Trap 1 favourites on Thursday, spread across the renowned greyhound stadiums at Crayford, Hove, and Swindon.

Viewers of Sky Sports Racing can stay updated on today’s action, with live coverage scheduled for Nottingham, Kinsley, and Hove.

However, there's no need to miss a single race, with every race from every PGR track available behind the red button or via greyhounds.attheraces.com.

Swindon provides the Open race action, with Baggios Intent (1) expected to maintain her unbeaten local record in a competitive puppy contest (20:22).

While Frank Bryce’s bitch will break from trap one, she has proven to be a game winner in a maiden Open and another contest against youngsters in her last two starts, both over tonight’s course and distance.

With Mohican Salty (3) and Bit View Philly (4) likely to keep a straight line – the latter is seen as the biggest threat, given his potential to improve after last week’s comeback CD win – the selection should enjoy a clear run to the bend.

I like the setup for strong-staying Saint Maga (1) in an A4 televised race at Hove (19:03), with most of the field more effective from the front.

Patrick Browne’s puppy, out of the marathon bitch Riverside Honey, does all his best work from halfway but has also proven to be a clever tracker unafraid to weave around runners to make a challenge.

Any support for Crystal Tilly (3) on local debut should be noted – she is the other stamina-laden runner in the field, and a combination forecast with the selection is also worth entertaining.

Choices Magical (1) showed plenty of guts and determination to win on his debut at Crayford last week and can follow up in an A5 contest (17:19).

His initial thoughts from his trap two box that day were to cut inside, and while he did edge out slightly at the turn, that was probably more due to inexperience with the Kent circuit.

This setup could hardly be better, with Moaning Dolce (2) more accustomed to trap four – she has never run from trap two before – which should allow the selection a dream run to the turn.

Best Bets

17.19 Crayford - Choices Magical (Trap 1)

19.03 Hove - Saint Maga (Trap 1)

20.22 Swindon - Baggios Intent (Trap 1)
