Daily Greyhound Tips - July 2, 2024

Watching previous races is crucial for identifying winners, and it’s remarkably simple to do.

For today’s selections, where all greyhounds are relatively unknown, these video cards are ideal for forming your own opinions.

Sheffield - 13:17

Sheffield Bella (Trap 1)

Sheffield Bella stands out in the 13:17 race at Sheffield. She secured her first win in her second race last week after making a significant comeback. Paul Webster’s pup was trailing by about ten lengths at one point, making her victory impressive. As part of a promising litter, this September-born pup shows great potential, especially with her strong finishing abilities, making her a solid pick despite a one-grade penalty.

Newcastle - 13:26

Richys Greatest (Trap 3)

Richys Greatest aims to keep her unbeaten record intact in the 13:26 race at Newcastle. Named after the kennel’s former star Brookside Richie, she debuted last week from a repeat December 2022 litter, showing remarkable tenacity. Despite initial trouble, she secured a win and faced a tougher A4 race unpenalised, but is likely to perform well again.

Perry Barr - 16:47

Sooty Something (Trap 2)

Sooty Something has shown steady improvement through trials and looks poised to back up his debut win in the A6 at Perry Barr (16:47). Ross Williams’ March 2022 pup displayed early speed but got confused at the third bend before finishing strong. With more experience, he should perform even better this time.

Crayford - 19:49

Blueboy Brian (Trap 3)

Blueboy Brian, a September pup, impressed in her debut at Crayford nearly two weeks ago and is expected to follow up in the A9 (19:49). She moved to the right at the traps last time, and switching to trap three should be beneficial. The fact that she is in this race indicates that the racing manager was also impressed by her initial win.
