Romantic Cat is taken to reverse recent form with Halfway Lulu (4) in the six-bend S3. Unlucky when suffering crowding in the last race, with a clear run, Romantic Cat (3) can land a first win here over the 630m. Her early pace can take her clear of the field, with Halfway Lulu (4) expected to plot a wide route around the first two turns. General bunching in behind may help to hold off the stronger-finishing runners.
Yarmouth - 20.31 WENDIL TIGER (Trap 3)
In the second A1 contest, Wendil Tiger has a chance to shine. Richard Devinish’s brindle is another who may be somewhat reliant on an early lead. The recent warm spell may have sped up the running surface to suit front-runners more. Wendil Tiger (3) is happier drawn in gate 3 than 4, and is chosen to bounce straight back with a trap-to-line success.
