Daily Greyhound Tips for May 23, 2024

Tonight’s racing action features the highly competitive £10,000-added BGBF British Bred Maiden Derby final at Newcastle. Additionally, there’s exciting racing at Hove and Swindon with plenty of quality races on offer. Early risers can also enjoy the morning action from Sheffield.

We are focusing on the south coast at Hove, where several promising contenders are set to race.

HOPES BELLE (Trap 2) in the concluding Maiden at Hove (21:16) looks poised to build on the promise of her British debut last week. This former Irish racer, who won twice at Youghal, impressed with her strong finish and seems ready to take another step forward. Trainer Jason Heath also has Antigua Bubble (Trap 3) in the race, who did well in a trial last month. However, Hopes Belle has shown significant improvement since then.

FLEADH CAILIN (Trap 4) is worth another chance in a heat of the 500 Trophy (20:24). Although she disappointed last time, Derek Knight’s progressive runner has a favourable setup with Drumdoit Chief (Trap 3) likely to step left, giving Fleadh Cailin a clear run. If she maintains her early position, she can make a decisive move by the third turn.

MARCH ON FREDDIE (Trap 5) in the 500 Puppies (19:49) is another strong contender. Despite a problematic trial, where he still posted a good time despite hitting the rails, this well-bred youngster from David Mullins’ kennel showed determination with a winning effort on his British debut at Romford. He clearly has the potential to shine again tonight.

Best Bets

19:49 Hove - March On Freddie (Trap 5)

20:24 Hove - Fleadh Cailin (Trap 4)

21:16 Hove - Hopes Belle (Trap 2)

Enjoy the races, and best of luck with your bets!
