Daily Greyhound Tips for February 16

Tony Ennis tipped Nottingham winner Roanna Turbo (8/15) on Monday and returns with three Friday selections across Central Park and Romford.

It’s another action-packed Friday on the Premier Greyhound Channel, with Sky Sports Racing also showing the early card from Central Park on the main channel. As ever on a Friday, Romford is the main card in the evening, with several open races on offer.

My first selection comes from the aforementioned Central Park card, where the A2 contest (13:08) looks like the best race on the programme. The youngster Teddys Sister (3) has looked much more at home here over the four-bend distance than the sprint trip. She showed brutal early pace when notching back-to-back successes in a lower grade recently and now looks set to make her mark in A2 company, having had two runs to adjust to this tougher level. She was crowded in both of those previous tries, but I’m hoping she can lead around today with a sharper exit. I can’t see anything back running her if she goes around in front.

Fabulous Sonique (3) let us down somewhat last Friday night, but I’m willing to forgive her that run as she was bumped at the first bend behind a back-to-form and firing Ballintee Noshow. I think she might break better a little further out from the rails in this 575m event (20:26), and if she comes around unscathed, she can kick-on off the second bend. Mark Wallis’ bitch is overdue a win, but she has been running some good races in defeat and just seems to keep bumping into one. I’m hoping she can make the most of this golden opportunity to return to the winners’ podium.

Hopes Rhino (1) has been in the form of his life lately, and a five-timer looms large in the six-bend Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden Stayers Final (21:21). I can’t see a reason why he won’t forge to the front again around the first couple of bends in the red jacket, with Nathan Hunt’s likeable dog having the beating of both Swift Teetotaler (3) and Untold Kwacha (4) on last Friday’s heat. The main danger has to be other heat winner Pin All In (5) out of trap 5. Lauren Sawyer’s bitch put in a dominant display in her division last week, clocking an identical 35.50s to Hopes Rhino (1). I would say Hopes Rhino (1) did have to battle to get through on the fence though, so maybe his effort can be marked up slightly, hence why he’s the one that gets my vote.

Anthony's Best Bets

13:08 Central Park Teddys Sister (Trap 3)

20:26 Romford Fabulous Sonique (Trap 3)

21:21 Romford Hopes Rhino (Trap 1)
