First up, let’s head to the north-east where BURROW STARLET (Trap 3) is scheduled to race at 16:59 in Sunderland. She made a notable debut last week, showing good pace before being forced to check at the turn and still managed to finish second. Although she hasn’t won in her five starts in Ireland or two mixed trials, her debut performance was promising, and Dean Blackbird’s bitch has a solid chance today.
Next, we have BRITBULL BONO (Trap 4) at Monmore in a D2 race at 15:38. He has hit form since his return from a lengthy absence and is aiming for a hat-trick. Known more for his burst of pace rather than just being 'quickly away,' Gary Griffiths’s runner should enjoy a clean run to the turn, especially with Whisky Amelia (Trap 3) looking for the fence.
Lastly, BOMBAY SPICE (Trap 4) is our pick at Romford in an A7 race at 12:59. She showed significant improvement to get off the mark last time and can defy a penalty in this contest. Paul Young’s October puppy has been progressing well and, provided she traps reasonably, should have the scope to exit this grade at the first time of asking.
