Daily Greyhound Tips – February 19

It's another lively start to the week with Sky Sports Racing covering the morning action from Romford along with all the other meetings live on the Premier Greyhound Racing Channel.

First selection comes up rather early on the Romford (11.32) card where Toems Jess (Trap 1) can make the most of a downgrade in the A4.

Marlene Westwood’s recent Irish import has a great draw to work from in red with a slow starter Jeopardy Jasmine on his outer. The early pace of Annadown Paddy could be the main danger, but having watched the trap three runners recently, he does leave gaps on the inside which Toems Jess should be able to exploit at the third turn.

The selection has only had the one race at the London Road circuit when constantly denied a clear run in an A3 on Wednesday night. He is clearly better than that and given space to run into, he can prove too good for this opposition.

Up The Palace (Trap 3) (18.56 Nottingham) signalled his turn is near when finishing a close third in this grade last Monday.

Simon Deakin’s dog has been treading water for a while but the recent downgrade has finally given him a chance to end his barren spell. He may have been a tad unlucky at the third bend last time, and with two slow starters on his left, he could even turn in front tonight.

The downgraded Jaymir Tara looks the main threat to the selection if she can avoid an early bump from Gummy Bear on her immediate inside. I just prefer the setup for Up The Palace from the middle draw here.

Later on, the Cowlick Park card Nidderdalewinter (Trap 1) (20.44 Nottingham) has the ace draw in red to dominate his rivals.

He hasn’t trapped as well as he can in his last two starts and if coming away in his best fashion, then I can see him going well clear on the inside rail. The runners in two, three, and six are all strong coming home so we might need a bit of bunching in behind to hold on up the long run-in.

The Other Wow in trap six will have his supporters again, but he might just be snookered early on behind the fast-starting Maizies Smile in trap five.

Maybe Nidderdalewinter can kick far enough ahead this evening and atone for the lacklustre effort last Monday.
