Daily Greyhound Tips - 8 March 2024

Diego Spitfire was an 8-11 winner for Anthony on Monday, and our greyhound expert is back with 3 more selections for Hove and Romford this Friday.

There’s a lot of live action on the Premier Greyhound channel as ever this Friday, along with cards at Central Park and Kinsley being screened live on the main Sky Sports Racing channel. The Golden Sprint semi-finals are the main events at Romford on their Friday night programme.

The first selection will be down at Hove where BILLERICAY JOE (3) (13.33) looks worth waiting for in the A2 at the end of the card. Jason Heath’s blue was an expensive failure here last time when sent off at odds on. However, he dwelt as the traps opened and was always just a bit further back than he should have been and encountered some bunching. He is a fast greyhound when given racing room and has a nice blend of early pace and stamina, if he gets away on terms then he should prove too classy for these rivals.

In the first of the Golden Sprint semi-finals BOMBOUT BULLET (3)(20.26) has a great chance to blast out and make all for trainer Belinda Green. The sharp four-bend trip appears to suit this top-class sprinter and he has looked a potential winner of the competition after two impressive successes around here. His early pace is electric and he can race into a lead again on the dash into the first bend with slower starters on either flank. The son of Ballymac Best seemed to see out the 400m well enough in the first round and he will be hard to catch if the start goes according to plan.

FABULOUS SONIQUE (2) and Romeo Hotshot (21.21) go paw to paw again over six bends after a tremendous tussle between the pair last Friday night. Romeo Hotshot fought back bravely to get up close home that night but I’m going with Fabulous Sonique to use her early speed to build up a big enough lead to hold on this time and take her revenge. Mark Wallis’ in-form bitch has the ideal launch pad out in trap three to take control early and there’s a chance that old rival Romeo Hotshot could get held up by Roxy’s Bullet next door in the early part of the race. So maybe Fabulous Sonique might exact her revenge tonight on Romeo Hotshot with an all-the-way success.

Best Bets

13.33 Hove - Billericay Joe (Trap 3)

20.26 Romford - Bombout Bullet (Trap 3)

21.21 Romford - Fabulous Sonique (Trap 2)
