Daily Greyhound Tips - 4 March 2024

Anthony Ennis presents his selections and analysis for Monday's Greyhound Racing at Swindon, Monmore, and Nottingham.

It's another eventful week on the Premier Greyhound Racing channel, with live action starting at Swindon, marking the beginning of 11 hours of Greyhound Racing. The races at Swindon and Nottingham will also be broadcast live on the main Sky Sports Racing channel.

His initial pick is Sawpit Seagull (T3), trained by David Hunt, in the A2 race at Swindon scheduled for 12.39. The robust fawn, triumphant in the last outing in this grade, possesses a strong finish that should prove formidable, provided he has a bit of luck during the race. While he might lack the early pace to keep up with last week's winners Ballymac Andre or Ballymac Conti on his immediate inside, a measured start could set him up for a decisive surge in the second half.

Moving to Monmore, the promising youngster Drumdoit Charlie (T3) catches the eye in the 13.51 opener. A son of Malachi, he has finished second in his last two races but has an excellent opportunity to take an early lead today. If he secures an early advantage, he could be challenging to catch, especially if he leads off the second bend. There's a strong likelihood that this pup will progress through the grades swiftly.

At Nottingham's evening card, Blackboy Lizzy (T1) with the perfect rails draw is poised for a dominant performance in the A1 race at 21.21. The early-paced railer is in top form and is likely to establish a substantial lead by the halfway stage. Despite potential crowding from stayers, her quick start might leave them trailing.

DIEGO SPITFIRE (T3), despite being costly to follow in A4 company recently, drops down a level, providing Barry Denby's bitch with a significant chance for a first victory at 21.36. Despite being a beaten favourite seven times, her recent misfortune in the run suggests she can take the lead against these less challenging opponents.

Anthony Ennis's Best Bets

12.39 Swindon - Sawpit Seagull (Trap 3)

13.51 Monmore - Drumdoit Charlie (Trap 3)

21.21 Nottingham - Blackboy Lizzy (Trap 1)

21.36 Nottingham - Diego Spitfire (Trap 3)
