Daily Greyhound Tips 15 March 2024

It's Romford’s Coral Golden Sprint Final on Friday night, where our expert has an each-way fancy, plus two more selections on the card - live on Sky Sports Racing.

Romford’s Coral Golden Sprint Final (21.21) kicks starts a weekend of top class greyhound action which also includes the start of the Premier Greyhound Racing Puppy Derby and the ARC Kent Plate - both tomorrow - and it’s all live on greyhounds.attheraces.com and behind the Sky Sports Racing red button.

Druids Say Go will take plenty of holding in the Golden Sprint (21.21) and will complete a CD seven-timer if taking tonight’s feature.

But SUPA NOVA (6) may be a sneaky each-way alternative. Paul Burr’s near veteran campaigner has been a model of consistency over Romford’s 400m trip finishing in the top two in nine of his last ten starts.

He has an excellent set-up as the lone wide seed – Front Alice (5) will edge left – but that’s not the only appeal.

Having ridden a bump at the first bend behind Druids Say Go in the semi-finals he was clearly making headway late on and it’s that stamina that I believe makes him the biggest threat to the favourite.

CONOR BE SLICK (4) can take the supporting Sprint final (21.02) and in doing maintain his unbeaten record over Romford’s 225m.

Although drawn the ‘wrong’ side of old foe Chopchop Rainbow (3) he has mastered that rival both from the front in last week’s heats but also when showing better pace up in a meeting the previous week.

Unlike 'Rainbow' who while very useful is clearly exposed the selection is still learning the Romford ropes adding to a useful Irish card which saw him go close to the clock at Derry before coming over.

Knockboy Kay (5) is also respected with a remarkable 11-15 record over this trip but faces a stiff task getting a run from trap five.

ALL ALONG (1) has done us a few favours at Crayford and having run a useful time at Towcester on Sunday it’s not surprise Dave Lee has got her out again quickly in a 400m Open (21.36).

That win last weekend came without the benefit of a trial as is the case here but is more than made up by an excellent set-up inside five seeded rivals.

Twice a winner from three previous runs in red it was noticeable how well she handled the inside on her Crayford debut and I fancy she can nip round in front in a very winnable race which is restricted to winners of one Open race.

Best Bets

21.02 Romford Conor Be Slick (Trap 4)

21.21 Romford Supa Nova (Trap 6) (Each-Way)

21.36 Romford All Along (Trap 1)
