Daily Greyhound Tips 14 March 2024

Crossfield Breda won at 15/8 for Darrell on Tuesday, and our greyhound expert returns with four selections plus analysis for Thursday's action at Hove.

Open race action from Hove and Swindon this evening plus Sheffield- live on Sky Sports Racing are the Thursday highlights. But, wherever your greyhound fancies take you every race is live on greyhounds.attheraces.com or via the red button.

The Hove card takes my fancy with NEVER SAY NO (4) taken to follow up last week’s game effort over 500m over a slightly longer trip in the Springtime 515 (20.14).

Last seen over this CD when finishing fourth in a red-hot Olympic final in December, Seamus Cahill’s charge has since added 575m Open race success at Romford to his repertoire.

He had to dig deep for victory last week showing excellent pace down the back and while a return to trap four would be not the box of choice his early speed and ultimately class can make the difference.

DROOPYS DIALOGUE (5) grabbed the eye in a narrow defeat last month and David Dark’s August pup has continued to thrive since. He can take a heat of the Springtime 500 Maiden Trophy (19.37).

With Shot Cancel (4) to his inside that should allow a smooth run to the turn albeit the Cahill runner has improved since returning from an absence and rates the biggest threat.

However, it has not gone unnoticed that the selection was given an Oxford trial last week, suggesting the regard in which he is held.

CANDOLIM OASIS (1) a few months shy of her sixth birthday might be considered an odd choice of selection but Derek Knight’s veteran is well-treated in an A3 (18.27).

Top grade prior to her seasonal break she has dropped a few hints in a brace of four-bend races since returning to the fold and on old form has the potential to step up further.

With Swift Ukraine (6) hard to win with, Joyces Bolger (4) is conceived as more of a threat but will need to progress again to beat the selection.

CLONA URIEL (1) returned to the fray with authoritative success in A1 company last weekend and can claim the Springtime 500 (21.08) back in Open race company.

A useful but lightly raced type last season, Derek Knight’s charge faces a host of similar early pace types but can use the inside draw to advantage to claim early control with further natural improvement likely to prove the difference.

Best Bets

18.27 Hove Candolim Oasis (Trap 1)

19.37 Hove Droopys Dialogue (Trap 5)

20.14 Hove Never Say No (Trap 4)

21.08 Hove Clona Uriel (Trap 1)
