Daily Greyhound Tips - 12 March 2024

Greenwell Ovett (5/4) & Cor Blimey (9/4) both won on Saturday, so here are three bets for Crayford, Central Park & Perry Barr this Tuesday.

At Crayford

CROSSFIELD BREDA (Trap 4) can follow up her debut victory as Julie Luckhurst’s youngster steps up a notch to A3 company this evening (1921).

She held her pitch well early on for that maiden success on what was just a second start for the May ’22 whelp before taking control heading into the final turn.

Still learning the ropes – she was noticeably erratic at times in terms of the route she took – but still improved markedly on her overall clocking with the expectation that there is plenty more to come.

At Central Park

RUGGED ROAD (Trap 3) has done nothing wrong in winning his first two starts at Central Park and is taken to complete the hat-trick stepped up to D1 level (1832).

This will clearly be a lot tougher for Tony Collett’s June pup with the likes of Killurlan Bella (2) and Kevinsfort Duke (6) useful top-grade types around the Kent track in opposition.

However, the selection has shown a good burst of pace into the corner in both victories and is clearly improving quickly judged on his record stepping from trials into competitive company.

One concern has been his tendency to swing wide off the second turn, but thus far that has been a trait that clearly hasn’t hindered him.

At Perry Barr

You could see a rate handicap selection across at Perry Barr where DROMANA BEE (Trap 6) can overhaul her rivals from the scratch mark (1559).

Shirley Aveline’s bitch has the ideal credentials as a back-marker with her natural strength in the latter stages of her races, and against mainly middle-running types, she can utilize a more inside route to success here.

Best Bets

15.59 Perry Barr: Dromana Bee (Trap 6)

18.32 Central Park: Rugged Road (Trap 3)

19.21 Crayford: Crossfield Breda (Trap 4)
