First up on the televised Swindon card, BULLY’S BARKER (Trap 3) in the 1.08 race looks promising. After we successfully tipped her three runs back, she delivered a strong performance. Although she has been beaten a couple of times since then, we know she can excel when she gets a fast start. The daughter of Newinn Taylor struggled with a poor break just five days after her impressive win on May 20th, and her last race was not suited to the sprint trip. Provided her busy schedule this past month doesn't affect her, she should be a formidable contender today.
At Monmore Green, LALACHI MAC (Trap 3) in the 5.49 race caught my eye as an unlucky loser last week. Despite encountering plenty of trouble, he almost made a comeback. He should handle Whisky Flyer, who was a disappointing favorite in that race, quite well. Lucky Lass might pose a bigger threat, but the two wide runners could hinder each other, giving Lalachi Mac an advantage. Although Swift Impale in Trap 2 might cause some early issues, if Lalachi Mac can avoid trouble, he should be well-placed to push ahead down the far side.
At Nottingham, GLENSIDE KATIE (Trap 3) stands out in the A3 race at 8.19. She had an encouraging British debut last Thursday, finishing second behind a fast winner for the grade. If this race, coming just four days later, doesn’t prove too soon for her, she could be tough to beat. With the early speed to clear the inside duo, if she holds off fellow early runner Crafty Coco to the first bend, Glenside Katie could open up a substantial lead down the backstretch.
