Daily Greyhound Tips - 05 March 2024

Darrell Williams is back with a trio of selections for Tuesday's greyhound racing action at Romford, Crayford, and Central Park.

In the morning, Newcastle and later in the evening, Crayford will be live on Sky Sports Racing, while racing is also happening at Romford and Central Park.

Foxy Sophie (Trap 2), competing in a Romford A5 (14.29), bravely led at the first turn last week and is expected to secure an uncontested early advantage in this race. Gemma Evans’ greyhound, with only three starts and a win at a lower grade two runs back, has shown progressive form. Even a repeat of her last start should be enough to secure victory against generally-exposed rivals.

Dave Lee’s All Along (Trap 3) welcomes the return to graded A2 company at Crayford (18.27) after participating in a 380m OR final on Golden Jacket day. With less speed to her inside than in that event, she is expected to gain an early advantage, allowing her to stay in her comfort zone. A performance close to her fast score in A4 grade back in late January should make her hard to catch.

Similarly, Princess Athena (Trap 3) encounters easier opposition in Central Park’s A1 contest (21.16) after an Open-race victory in mid-February. Her recent form, including participating in two Opens over Romford’s 575m, seems superior to the competition here. Luke Morrison’s lightly-raced youngster is predicted to return to winning ways in graded fare.

While clearing Kilwest George (Trap 2) early on could make the job easier, the six-bend form in reserve suggests it’s not an absolute necessity.

Best Bets:

14.29 Romford: Foxy Sophie (Trap 2)

18.27 Crayford: All Along (Trap 3)

21.16 Central Park: Princess Athena (Trap 3)
