March's Time Greyhound Nutrition-sponsored Greyhound of the Month award saw a unique outcome as Bubbly Inferno and Untold Dollar shared the honours, each receiving an equal number of votes from members of the Greyhound Writers’ Association.
Romford's Paul Young celebrated Bubbly Inferno's triumph in the Stadium Bookmakers TV Trophy at Oxford, representing The Champagne Club Syndicate. Meanwhile, Premier Greyhound Racing Puppy Derby victor Untold Dollar, trained by Carol Weatherall for owners Callum and John Purdy, added to the accolades.
In a competitive field, Bubbly Inferno and Untold Dollar surpassed nominees Acomb Felix (Kevin Ferguson), Front Alice (Kevin Proctor), Queen Joni (Liz McNair), and Romeo To Victory (Tom Heilbron) to claim their joint victory.
Simon Pearson, Oxford's racing manager, commended Bubbly Inferno's stellar performance in the TV Trophy, emphasising the excitement of the race and the deserving win. Monmore's racing manager, Tony Williamson, lauded Untold Dollar's dominance in the PGR Puppy Derby, highlighting the dog's exceptional qualities and promising future.
Willie Rigney, representing Time Greyhound Nutrition, congratulated both sets of connections and expressed delight in seeing the award shared amid stiff competition. He hinted at arranging two trophies for the occasion, underscoring the significance of the winners' achievements in a challenging month filled with notable competitions and triumphs.
Bubbly Inferno and Untold Dollar follow in the footsteps of February's Time Greyhound of the Month, Dazl Rolex, the Premier Greyhound Racing Golden Jacket champion under Ricky Holloway's care.
