British Performance Of The Week

As impressive as Front Alice's victory was in the Golden Sprint, our spotlight turns to Chiltern Sunny for the Romford selection this week. Despite not grabbing the headlines like Alice, Sunny's consistent form is commendable. Contesting her tenth race since her debut, Paul Clarke's greyhound boasts a record of seven wins and three seconds.

Meanwhile, at Harlow, notable performances were delivered by Springside Cloda (26.86), Alberta Jamie (26.70), Good Streak (26.99), and Ragtime Bailey (26.66) in the A1 category. However, the standout performance came from Tinks Daithi, delivering an impressive time of 26.62 (-20) in the puppy category.

Omuircheartaigh, who was an 11/8 joint-favourite in the Northern Puppy Derby Final, showed significant improvement at Monmore on Saturday, clocking the fastest heat in the PGR Puppy Derby first round.

Geordie trainers have been making their presence felt in Yorkshire, with Geordie Tom securing another double with Freedom Ellie and Romeo To Victory. However, Raymond Hale's Swift Silly stole the show, triumphing over Angela Harrison's Coolavanny Mercy by six lengths in 28.59 for the 500m course.

Elsewhere, Unreal Bruiser followed up on his Towcester victory with a swift run of 29.00 at Sheffield. Ballymac Taylor set a new track record for the 847 metres at Oxford, while Lively Lauren notched a commendable win over Droopys Clue in 39.43 for the 650m distance.

At Central Park, Queen Shakira showcased her prowess with the fastest heat win in the Kent Plate, highlighting the strength of her litter alongside King Memphis and King Capaldi.

Coppice Gracie's unbeaten streak continues as she heads into the BGBF British Breeders Stakes Final at Nottingham, boasting an impressive record of 13 wins from 22 races.

Noteworthy performances also came from Ballyard Shawny, who secured victory at Yarmouth, and Dashing Dude, maintaining his dominance at Swindon with an eighth consecutive win over course and distance.

Consistency prevailed at Suffolk Downs, with Bettys Jack maintaining an impressive record of 10 wins and 3 seconds from 13 races. Similarly, Witton Supremo and Witton Perfecto showcased their prowess at Sunderland, albeit falling short to Hawkfield Diego in a highly competitive A1 race.

Westforth Sadie stood out at Newcastle, posting the only sub-29.00 time in the past week. Trewmount Fury showed signs of returning to form with a commendable victory at Doncaster.

Veteran Summer Swirl reclaimed her sprint record at Valley, while Devon Dolly impressed with a swift 23.22 open race win at Crayford.

In the absence of sub-28.00 runs at Kinsley, Malachis Rose came close with impressive performances in her last two races, falling just short of the mark.
