The Coral Coronation Cup has seen an impressive 46 entries, surpassing the capacity by 10 runners. Romford Racing Manager chose to tackle the issue of oversubscription rather than face an underwhelming field.
He commented: “We delayed the closing until after the first round of the Derby to ensure a substantial number of dogs were available. While it’s unfortunate that some connections will be disappointed, we are pleased to have a robust entry list.
“We rescheduled the event from the beginning of the year because the gap between Category One events was too long, negatively impacting our regular Friday night entries. This adjustment has proven beneficial, as evidenced by the strong turnout.”
