In a dramatic set of semi-finals for the Puppy Classic, Droopys Extragud clinched the first race for trainer Heather Dimmock. Despite a chaotic contest, Extragud managed to secure a spot in yet another final. Chris Fereday’s No Better Feelin also advanced, having previously outperformed Extragud in the Arc Puppy Cup final.
The second semi-final saw Kilgarran Jay, under the guidance of Paul Timmins, take the win, with Stuart Ray’s Blackhouse Kim finishing close behind. As the sole local contender remaining, Jay displayed potential for a stronger start than in this race. Blackhouse Kim, a former Angel of the North semi-finalist, had shown great form by winning her heat impressively the previous week.
