Thrilling Performances at Bar One Sprint Semis

Dundalk witnessed an exhilarating display of speed in the Bar One Sprint quarter-finals. The defending champion, Carrick Aldo, clocked the fastest time of the evening with a stunning 20.84, narrowly defeating track record holder Broadstrand Syd. Despite Syd initially taking the lead after a strong start, Aldo managed to overtake him in a thrilling straight run, ultimately winning by a length and a quarter.

In a poignant moment, Elite Kursk secured a timely victory following the recent passing of trainer Myles Roban’s father. Posting a remarkable 20.89, Kursk’s performance was the second fastest of the night, ensuring his place in the semi-finals. The other quarter-final winners included Romeo Taylor, who finished at 20.99, and Meenagh Monito, clocking in at 21.05. Unfortunately, Derby winner The Other Kobe did not advance to the semi-finals.
