David Mullins is eyeing a remarkable fifth consecutive victory as the Coral Romford Puppy Cup kicks off this Friday with six exciting heats.
From 2020 to 2023, Mullins has seen his dogs dominate the competition, with Tenpin, Brookside Ritchie, Romeo Hotshot, and Romeo Crusade all claiming titles. This year, his kennel is represented by Piemans Angel, Romeo Showtime, and Lindas Yes Baby, all hoping to continue his winning streak.
Leading the ante-post betting is Fire And Ice, trained by Matt Dartnall, who impressed with a speedy 23.64 (+10) performance last week. Sharing the second-favourite spot are Untold Rufiyaa for Tom Heilbron and Kim Billingham’s Newinn Souly, though both dogs will face off in the same heat. Another contender to watch is Easy Player, trained by Craig Morris, the only other runner with single-figure odds.
With such strong competition and Mullins' sights set on another victory, this year’s Romford Puppy Cup promises plenty of thrilling action.
